In the race of updating smartphones to their latest Android version operating system Sony has jumped ahead by pushing Android 4.3- Jelly Bean update to their Xperia series smartphones and tablet. List of smartphone which will receive these updates is Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. Sony made this news official in their blog.

Many new features have been added by bringing this update to all the Xperia devices mentioned above. In addition to some performance and security tweaks in this update there is lot more interesting stuff for all Sony devices whose name is mentioned above. Some of those features include:
1. Smoother graphics under the project butter of Google Android team where graphcs and user interface has been made lot lighter and smoother. Animations of app opening and closing are lot smoother and everything just looks amazingly buttery.
2. Sony Entertainment Network cloud service integration with all media applications like Walkman, Album and music in all Sony Xperia device.
3. Introduction of Sony Xperia themes for more personal experience.
4. New Battery stamina mode for prolonged battery life. This is commendable job by Sony as most of the smartphones these days struggle to last a complete day even under normal usage.
5. In case of Xperia Tablet Z, option of restricted profiles will allow different users to use same tablet and still enjoy completely customized experience by having own home screens, widgets and local storage, etc.
