CES 2014: CyberPowerPC Fang Battle Box, a Briefcase Gaming PC !

High-end gaming rigs often look like large, solid, hulking brutes, albeit with some angular, elegant lines, but CyberPowerPC decided to flush that design convention down the drain when it made the Fang Battle Box.

The name is really misleading actually, since the word “box” would fit those desktops I have mentioned more than it does this new invention.
Still, that is what CyberPowerPC decided the product should be called, so that's what it went ahead and named it.

“Fang” is there because it's already got a certain brand strength on the gaming industry, even if the system looks nothing like a sharp tooth.

But this egress has gone on long enough, so now we may as well examine the product itself, and for once, we'll start with the outside instead of the core hardware.

OMG !!! A Tablet with 500 GB HDD : It's SEGATE !

It appears that storage manufacturer Seagate is planning to jump onboard the slate bandwagon and has showed a reference design that crams under a relatively thin figure, a 500GB hard drive

The reference model is built using the company's new 5 mm / 0.19 inches hard drive and apparently, Seagate will have a new SSHD solution out too. The only problem is that the drive appears to take up most of the space under the hood, meaning there’s no place left for a decent battery.

It's been just a month when google added a new feature in gmail that images will be automatically loaded in the mails. Google has updated gmail with a new feature that it will show your google+ connections as your recipients even if you haven't shared your email address yet. CES 2014 revealed LG's plans of launching G Flex in US in first quarterof 2014

LG G Flex is the world's first curved smartphone or phablet with 6-inch curved Plastic-OLED HD display. Top to bottom curve on the phone gives it a distinct look and feel. LG revealed its plan of launching the world's first curved smartphone in the US market in the first quarter of 2014. CES 2014 being held at Las Vegas became the platform for this news. According to the company LG G Flex will launch on Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T carriers. Exact dates still to be revealed, but indication is enough for us.

G Flex has some of the best specifications out of the box. It get its power through world's first curved battery. 3,500 mAh battery is the first of its kind in the world and is still capable of running the device for long. Under its hood lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and Quad-core Krait CPU for ultra-fast performance. Moreover device has 2 GB RAM and 32 GB in-built storage capacity (No memory card slot present).

It comes with Android 4.2.2 - Jelly Bean out of the box. LG has given its own customized interface in it, which we all see on other LG smartphones. LG has introduced the 'Dual Windows'concept in G Flex by which a user can use 2 apps simultaneously. This is very much like Samsung's dual windows concept in their smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 specifications and launch at CES 2014

Samsung recently launched another smart camera in its Galaxy camera series. It is Galaxy Camera 2 which has been launched at CES 2014 being held at Las Vegas. Although Galaxy camera was a great success, Samsung is double excited with its new product which too have the abilities to stand on the top of others. The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO tablet line will be available in Wi-Fi only, Wi-Fi and 3G, or Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity options. In addition, Samsung has revealed that the 12.2-inch Galaxy NotePRO will come bundled with an S Pen, while the 12.2-inch Galaxy TabPRO, Galaxy TabPRO 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch will come without the S Pen option

Samsung expanded its famous Galaxy of tablets by adding a new tablet in its series - Galaxy Note Pro which is introduced at #CES2014 being held at Las Vegas from 7th to 10th January, 2014. Galaxy Note Pro features a gigantic 12.2-inch WXQGA (2,560-by-1,600) display, Samsung's own Octa-Core Exynos processor (WiFi/WiFi+3G) / Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (LTE version), 3 GB RAM and much more. Samsung started the year with it which clearly indicates that 2014 is going to be the year of bigger tablets from all smartphone manufacturers. Let us wait and watch.

Bigger iPhones or iPhone phablets can be seen in 2014

Is this happening due to Android fear that Apple is rumored to be working on bigger iPhones of approximately 5.7-inch or bigger screen sizes. This iPhone phablet from Apple might launch in around May, 2014 and is expected to have Apple A7 processor, the one which comes in iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. The news came through Japanese version of Yahoo News, which also claimed that iPhone 6 is scheduled to launch on September, 2014 and will have Apple's latest A8 processor.

Liquid Z5: Acer Unveils new 5-inch budget Android smartphone !

Acer unveiled the Acer Liquid Z5, a budget smartphone that features a 5-inch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is 8.8mm thick and has rounded edges.
The announcement has come at a time when CES 2014 is around the corner. Acer hasn't revealed the complete specifications for the Acer Liquid Z5, and is expected to do so at the event.

Samsung TV Firmware update brings Audio back to Videos using HDMI

Samsung just released the upgraded firmware for its smart televisions. This firmware upgrade was launched in order to correct the issue of no audio in videos played on TV using HDMI. Most of the people noticed similar problem followed by Samsung's instant support in the form of new firmware with all corrective measures. Rumors: Samsung Tablets may have Corner Home Button, Keyboard Dock !

We already know Samsung is working on a plethora of tablet devices to be unleashed next year. Four new slate models are expected to grace the market as soon as Q1, but that doesn’t translate into the Korean tech giant stopping there.

Reportedly, Samsung has been granted two patents outlining new slate models. One of them details a tablet design with an oddly positioned home button. By the looks of it, Sammy is experimenting with a prototype that has the button situated in a corner position.

Windows 9 Beta Version Concept Released with an Upgraded Interface !

Windows 9 is clearly one of the most anticipated products ever released by Microsoft, pretty much because the future operating system is expected to bring several major changes to the Windows product family. 

While the concept clearly needs more refinements in order to look good, it does bring forth some interesting ideas. The Start button, for example, could be replaced with the word “Start” for a much more intuitive interface that reminds of Windows XP, while the taskbar could also hold shortcuts for Modern apps.
