Windows 8.1 on its way of launch: Starting from 18th October

Microsoft is very excited for bringing the next version of its Windows 8 for personal computers. New update will be bringing version 8.1 version to the users worldwide and starting from 18th october, 2013 Windows 8.1 free update will be given to all users who are already on Windows 8. Microsoft reported that Windows update can be accessed through the Windows Store and will be made available on the retail and on new devices in the market starting from 18th October.




New features updated in the 8.1 version are:

• Improved personalization
• Internet Explorer 11
• Search which is powered by Bing (A nice addition to the previous simple search on Windows 8)
• Some new built-in apps for making your experience much richer
• Cloud connectivity with SkyDrive
• Improved version of Windows Store for attracting more users towards Windows 8 platform

Some of the Windows 8 devices that enjoy this update are Surface tablet from Microsoft, Acer Iconia W3, Lenovo Yoga 11s, Toshiba KIRAbook, Dell XPS 18 and many more devices in the list further.
