Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update Causes Problem To Motorola Moto X

History seems to be repeating itself since Android KitKat 4.4.3 update cause problem to Nexus line and now Motorola Moto X suffers problem related to battery after Android KitKat 4.4.4 update comes. Many Moto X users have posted complaints on Motorola forums related to poor battery life after 4.4.4 update. The update seems to have some serious problem affecting the phone's battery life.



Motorola handsets were among the first handsets to receive the final update of Android 4.4.4 update. This update was supposed to bring improvements in Camera, Google voice command, performance and manymore along with security, network and system stability. But, the firmware seems to have done more wrong than right, seriously affecting the battery life.

Why battery starts draining after update.....?

The solution to this problem comes form various sources, such as -
  • Data Cache Problems
  • Applications that cause additional drain
  • Poor network signal cause extra drain with overheating problem
  • WiFi seems to be struggling as well as frequencies causing drain to power house of phone
What to do if already upgraded to KitKat 4.4.4........?

Every Motorola users & other devices such as HTC M7 and M8 was waiting to upgrade their smartphone to KitKat 4.4.4. But if you haven't upgraded your Moto X to the latest version of Android KitKat 4.4.4, its better to hold off for now. Meanwhile, Android L OS is set to roll out.
If you have already updated to KitKat 4.4.4, you will have to face some issues specially with battery that can't really be solved until Motorola launches a new firmware version. Till then, Airplane Mode can help with network signal search drain along with seating your WiFi to stop connecting to weak signal network
