Mobile data plans are becoming unaffordable day by day. Price is increasing and amount of data given is being reduced. Earlier on Airtel network, we used to get 2GB of data on recharge of Rs 100 for a complete month. But now the scenario has changed a lot. Now Rs 100 will give you 600 MB of data that too for just 21 days. Its ridiculous. Thanks to Google for bringing data compression tool in chrome browser that will not only save data being used but also reduce the time of page loading.

Here are some pictures from a device showing update release and new features on the chrome.

These pictures clearly suggest that Google Chrome is working to make internet more affordable and accessible to people. Managing data is very necessary when you are on limited data pack just like I mentioned above. Chrome uses the same technique that was previously introduced by Opera browser. Pages are compressed on the server before being loaded or downloaded at the user side. This not only makes the loading faster but also saves the bandwidth.

You have to go to settings to enable this feature. For that open the chrome app on your device, tap on the top right corner to access settings. You can access these settings first time you update your app or install new app from app store. Tell us, do you like this feature? How you are going to use this feature for saving your data?
