31.2 million iPhones sold this quarter. A new record

Apple in a press release reported than they had a very brilliant year so far. In terms of total profit and total number of units sold, Apple has set a new record. They have sold 31.2 million units of iPhone, 14.6 million units of iPads and 3.8 million units of their MACs in the third quarter of the fiscal 2013.

It is clear that, although iPhone sales has increased a lot, but at the same time iPad and Macs have reported some fall in total number of units being sold. 

Also in the press release, Apple Inc.  CEO, Tim Cook said that "we are especially very proud of our june quarter iPhone sales and the strong revenue growth we have generated from iTunes, software and services." He also added that many interesting products will be launched this fall and across 2014, bringing Apple back in the technology race. Apple has also many expectations from their latest release of iOS 7, which will be coming in the next iPhone and to some other devices through an update. 

In terms of money, Apple made a total revenue of $35.3 billion and net profit of $6.9 billion in this quarter ending 29th June, 2013. It is also expecting revenue to reach between $34 billion and $37 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013.
