Windows 9 threshold is expected to release in April 2015

After windows 8 and 8.1 , Microsoft is planning to release windows 9 instead of releasing windows 8.2. Most of us were also thinking that next window would most likely be windows 8.2 . Microsoft plans to provide a update to windows 8.1 ie update 1 or (GDR1 internally) and windows Phone 8.1, there would not be a major update for next 15 months as microsoft is thinking to release windows 9 in april next year.

Windows Phone 9 is also expected to be a part of windows 9 threshold release next year.

Android captured 80% market share with Samsung alone having 39% of that.

In the intense competition between major mobile operating systems, Android has marked another highest point where it has captured 81% of the total market share in 3Q13. We have then iOS at the second position with 12.9% market share which saw some decline as compared to 14.4 % in the 3Q12 (3rd quarter of 2012). But what was most interesting is the percentage increase in market share for Windows Phone, which jumped to 3.6% from 2% last year (2Q12). This means it increased by 156% and that is really amazing but then also seems very insignificant in comparison to top 2 operating systems.

Twitter app for Windows Phone gets dark theme and new lock screen

Twitter is one of the biggest and most successful social media website. Its app on Windows Phone got one of the major updates. Now @Twitter app supports more advanced lock screen and an additional dark theme. Dark theme include full blackish interface with touch of Twitter blue color in top and bottom bar.
