Samsung new LPDDR4 chip

Just imagine about a phone which is 50% much faster than Samsung Note 3 and at the same time consumes 40% lesser power for doing same task on both smartphones. Well all this can be a part of your next smartphone next year when Samsung may unveil its latest chip which has capabilities of putting 4 GB of RAM in smartphone. This new chip is 50% faster than its predecessor DDR3 based chips and has got a completely redesigned multi-layered mobile sized package.

Samsung is planning to begin manufacturing of new RAM somewhere around the mid of 2014. It means smartphone with such RAMs can be seen by the end of 2014 or may be before that because who knows other companies are also working on such similar but secret projects.

Company unveiled its low power 1 GB DDR4 (LPDDR4) RAM which can work in parallel with current 3 GB RAM architecture to make 4 GB of RAM in all. According to the report, this newly fabricated DRAM component has largest density available today.

Days are not far when 4 GB or more RAM will be common for smartphones and other handheld geeky products for their better performance and long lasting battery life. We cannot leave behind the power consumption area in smartphones and other electronic media and this is one of a very good examples of such products we are going to see in coming future of technology.
