mini start project for start menu in windows 8.1
Well some of the internet sources are assuming that Microsoft has plans for rolling out the update including the new Start Menu for Windows 8.1 desktop, earlier than the major update named 'Threshold'. This minor update may release somewhere around Spring 2014 and is calling the new project with an internal name 'mini start' since this start menu is not going to cover the whole screen, rather a smaller portion just like earlier start menus on Windows.

Design of the new start menu is not yet decided so wait might be little longer than expected to get the new start menu on your Windows 8.1. It is really very interesting to know whether Microsoft will retain its Fancy start screen or will come up with a completely new design of Windows Start screen including the start menu in desktop mode.

Now a big question arise about "How would the new start menu look?". These are many possibilities just like the one shown in the picture above. Stardock's start8 third party start menu for Windows 8.1. According to ZDNet, this can be like a smaller start menu with all shortcuts for your applications and programs installed.
