iPad mini with Retina Display goes on sale : Mini yet powerful tablet

Give a warm welcome to the Retina Display in the iPad mini which has filled the gap which was earlier missing in the previous version of iPad mini. Apple has now introduced the iPad mini with Retina display starting from $399 for the WiFi version only to the $829 for the most expensive model (WiFi + Cellular). This 7.9-inch tablet features the 2048-by-1536 resolution with pixel per inch density of 326 ppi. It comes with the new A7 processor and M7 co-processor that were first spotted in iPhone 5S. 5MP front facing isight camera features video stabilisation, face detection and records videos at 1080p. While 1.2MP rear camera records videos at 720p.


New Interface with iOS 7
With the new iOS 7, iPad mini with retina display brings a completely new interface with all features of the new operating system. List of new features have been added to the iOS 7 which includes new app opening and closing animations, new lock screen, redesigned icons, new color theme, 3D wallpapers, transparent and newly designed notifications panel and the best of all - control Center for fast access of most common features of the phone. 

All these features works and looks extremely fine on the new iPad mini and looks even more crispier on the retina display. On the purchase of new iPad with iOS 7, Apple is offering some of its paid app completely free of cost. They include iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Keynote, iTunesU, Remote, iTunes Trailers, etc. Whole list can be found on the product page on Apple's website. 

What is missing ?
In between so many good things, generally we tend to forget some bad aspects of the product. As we have seen Apple introduced the Touch ID sensor in the iPhone 5S along with other new smart features, which we were expecting to be a part of this iPad.

Another thing where iPad mini went wrong is with its display size. Making the display little longer (7.9-inch from 7-inch) can turn the things in wrong direction. What we consider is that, tablets have clearly 2 categories - one with small screen size, at the maximum up to 7-inch and second category where they are 10-inches or bigger. The new iPad mini features 7.9-inch retina display which is something in between the 2 categories we discussed above.

Final Conclusion
This new iPad is lighter, faster and better than its previous version. It is technically better in all aspects as it includes the new processor and the helping processor - M7.
