LG nexus 4 was a big hit by Google last year. Now Google is again working with LG to launch Nexus 5 and its latest operating system- Android KitKat. Are you excited as we are? Firstly we will talk about Nexus 5 and then move on to Android KitKat. Nexus 5 is going to be the successor of the Google famous Nexus series smartphones. First of all the note that all things are just rumors. Do not believe them blindly. Keep an eye on the future rumors and subscribe us for confirmed future updates. Glossy back panel is now being replaced with rubberized back which is a nice upgrade as most of the users do not recommend glass at back due to its less durability. As definitely the screen size is bigger than Nexus 4, icons grid will now be 5 X 4 to fit more number of icons in the same app drawer page and home screen page also. Screen of Nexus 5 is going to be very bright and colors are very vivid. For better sound quality, dual speakers on the bottom of the device are provided. They now produce better and more louder sound than the previous Nexus 4 smartphone. I don't know whether to include this point here or in KitKat part, but image quality certainly has improved either due to Optical image stabilization or Digital image stabilization. According to current rumors as per the tuttoandroid website, design of the smartphone is going to be " more square" rather than a more curved body as we have seen in the Samsung's first curved smartphone. Nexus 5 is going to be much lighter in weight than the previous Nexus, as given on the tuttoandroid.
Now you must be eager to know what's new and interesting in Android KitKat. Well starting from the lock screen, it got some minor changes like a camera button at bottom right of the launches, which is version 4.4 KitKat. Camera can also be opened by dragging towards left just like we do in current Nexus 4 device.
Android KitKat is now more transparent as the app drawer is not black but background is now transparent which shows background wallpaper behind the apps. Status bar is also transparent and icons are made more larger. New grid adjustments have been made to fit 5 X 4 icons instead of previous 5 X 5 grid in a single page with apps covering full screen of the smartphone. Navigation bar has also been made transparent which looks great on the Nexus 5. Lot of software changes have been made to make the experience much better and well connected with Google. Odd combinations like SMS messaging and Hangouts / Gallery and G+ photos have been combined to create a well maintained and precise service from Google.
One other major improvement introduced here is the always listening mode of the smartphone, just similar to what MOTO X introduced few months back. All the previous gestures and commands will be working just like that except few new updates and improvements. Lastly boot animation is not different but similar to the devices having Google play edition services like Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One google play edition. KitKat is going to be the fastest android operating system by Google since now, even faster than the the project butter smartphones.
