How to change LIKE button privacy on Facebook

Facebook Like button is a great tool for sharing and promoting content on websites. Whenever you hit like button on any website, you are actually sharing that page's URL or Link on which LIKE button is appearing. On the other side i.e. in your Facebook profile, the link gets automatically shared with your Facebook friends. But do you know that you can change this?

Changing the Facebook like button privacy settings do not require special permissions. But you need to be aware that what content you are sharing with your friends or public. Here is a simple guide to help you change your Like Button privacy settings. 

Steps:

1. Login your Facebook profile and go to your timeline. 
2. Now see just below your cover photo, MORE option and click on it. 
3. Click on the Like link from the dropdown menu to open another window. It will appear like the one shown in the picture below. Now notice that Facebook allows you to change Like Button privacy according to different categories. These categories include interests, food, restaurants, activities, athletes, sports, websites and many more such categories. You can separately change Like privacy settings for each of them. 
4. Click on the small edit button on the top right corner to open another window where the actual changes will take place. 
5. In this window you can make changes for like visibility in different categories. You can choose from Public, friends, only me and custom friends list. You can also select a list from your Facebook friends list. Picture shown below can help you getting the right point.
