Nokia Lumia 2520

Time is not so far when Nokia will be bringing its first ever tablet in the market - Nokia Lumia 2520. It has a 10.1-inch full-HD clear black IPS display with resolution of 1929-by-1080 pixels. Although pixel density is not up to the mark as it is just 218 ppi for such a big display. Lumia 2520 will be powered by a Quad-core 2.2 GHz Qualcomm snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM to make the device run very smoothly without any possible slowdown or delay.

One of the best thing about this tablet is its huge internal memory of 32 GB plus an option to include external memory card to expand the memory further up to 32 GB. We highly recommend to buy any device with good amount of internal memory as it is the space where all your data related to your games, apps and other documents will lie.

Lumia 2520 will be supporting all major networks - GSM, WCDMA and LTE in which the fastest network is LTE wherein you can get maximum download and upload speeds of 150 Mbps and 50 Mbps respectively.

Lumia 2520 dimensionsOne major fallback of this tablet device is its very heavy design and form factor. Lumia 2520 will weigh around 615 g. Device is 8.9 mm thick which is again not up to the marks by Nokia. When you have to carry a device with you almost everywhere you go, you definitely want a thin, light weight device.

In terms of camera technology, Lumia 2520 is equipped with a auto-focus 6.7 MP primary camera which is capable of recording videos at a resolution of 1920-by-1080, i.e. full HD 1080 p. Primary camera also comprises of 4x optical zoom and Carl Zeiss optics to make photography a better experience for its users. Camera is not equipped with a flash which brigs it down a little bit as you always expect a flash in such a high end device.

Secondary camera is 2 MP resolved and can record videos at 720 p resolution during video calls. It can also capture still shots with obvious low resolution when compared with the primary camera. Here is the first hands on on the device right from the Nokia World, via Nokia Blog.

In terms of connectivity, Lumia 2520 supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi for internet access, NFC (Near Field Communication) for easy sharing of files. It also has a micro SIM slot, USB 3.0 slot, Micro-USB port for charging and PC connectivity through wire and a 3.5 mm audio jack for listening to music. With all these things, Nokia has fitted a 8000 mAh battery in the device to make it last for more than a complete day under normal usage conditions. Battery cannot be removed but according to the company it can last for 25 days in standby mode.

Lumia 2520 will be coming to the market near the end of year 2013, with Microsoft Windows RT 8.1 version. It is the latest version of the operating system by the Microsoft and the device will be coming along it.
