I would like to tell that if you are not a publisher or doesn't know how Facebook makes money, then read this article before you proceed. It will help you understand  their secret for making money. Now getting back to our topic, Facebook is the smartest social media website who knows from where it can extract money from its users. Initially these were advertisements, then came apps then status/post promotion either by a page (Page on Facebook) or  an individual account and Facebook continues to innovate methods for making money. We will not get into the details of every method, instead read the above mentioned post first.

Facebook organic posts vs Paid posts comparison

Rates for getting different number of paid visits

In the chart above taken from a screenshot in the iOS Facebook app, the rates for making your particular post visible to your more users are shown. Details are as under

Rs 310 for 1.8K-3.4K users reach (This is called paid reach)
Rs 620 for 3.9K-7.3K users reach (This is called paid reach)
Rs 930 for 6.6K-12.3K users reach (This is called paid reach)
Rs 1240 for 8.3K-15.4K users reach (This is called paid reach)

Certainly these rates are too high when it comes to just visibility of your post (either shared on your page or your timeline) to other users. No doubt Facebook is still making huge profits out of it, but rate reduction should be there in order to get more public involved in such promotional activities.
