It is very hard to to standout  in a tough competition, but still Windows managed to do that. You know how? When Apple's iOS and Google's Android were on the top of the list of the smartphone OS as preferred by most of the users, Windows Phone still managed to get a lot of attention from people. With a completely new interface, beautiful animations and wonderful social integration with default apps like messages and contacts have big hand in making it a product that people love and recommend. But every good thing ends there. So now we are just left with thing we hate and want Microsoft to update them as soon as possible.

Still a very basic Lock Screen

While iOS and Android offer you great variety of lock screen customizations, Windows OS doesn't have any of them except some basic tweaks. There is no shortcut for launching camera directly from the lock screen, but iOS and Android have. There is no way by which we can see all of our previous unseen notifications on lock screen.

Just three levels of Brightness adjustments

At Least here they should have given full control over the brightness of the screen. One can select between just three preset levels- Low, Medium and Full. A scrollable adjustment should be given in the next update of Windows OS for Mobile.

It still needs some quality apps

No doubt Microsoft has performed well with its app store by encouraging more and more publishers and app developers to code apps for it. Some of the recent updates in apps like Facebook, Skype and Whatsapp indicate that they are working very hard. Sorry, but its too late.
Windows Phone app store
With iOS and android having millions of super standard apps, Windows is just like a newly born baby. It still lacks apps like Instagram, Pinterest, official youtube app and most importantly all of the Google apps are missing. Why?Why?Why? A big questions still unanswered.

Not made for gamers

With XBOX integration, one can play some of the XBOX games on their windows phone. But unfortunately, most of the XBOX games are not free or priced too high. When world running Temple run OZ, we Windows Phone users are still on Temple Run 1. No doubt it gives amazing performance while playing some of the HD games, but this much games are not enough for us. Still a lot of R&D needs to be done for making more and more app developers to get attracted towards windows phone platform.

Now if these issues are covered in the next update of Windows Phone 8, we can hope Microsoft making huge profits in future. Now something important to tell you. It is completely our view and we have just shared what we felt was important to share at this moment. Nobody was harmed while making this post. Anyway, it is still completely dependent on you that how you want your mobile OS to be whether like- android, iOS or windows phone 8.
