1. Facebook for celebrities, restaurants and hotels
With recent research in work, Facebook is expected to be working on celebrity apps, personalized for celebs, where they can easily update their status, connect with their friends and followers. Initially the app is under testing and will be soon rolled out for celebs and other prominent public figures all around the world. Facebook confirmed this thing to AllThingsD where they said that they are working on mobile features to help public figures interact with their fans.
With other two features added just this weak to Facebook mobile platform, it seems to expand its business horizons. Now Facebook users can reserve tables through Facebook mobile restaurant's pages. More than 20,000 OpenTable restaurants are involved in this activity with Facebook. Also with the help of another similar app, users will be able to see and manage TV shows and movies. Only iOS users will be able to use this app and it will display channel name, Air Time and little description about the show or Movie. Search results will be based upon your default location, set in your Facebook profile. Now managing your restaurants seat bookings, TV shows, Movies is lot easier than before. 2. Link preview in Facebook chat
Want to share a link with your friend, but doesn't know how it is gonna appear to him? Facebook has now updated its chatting services where users can preview the link they are sharing or sending to their friend. When someone pastes the link in the chat box, a preview of the website or link appears before it is sent to the party on the other side. If URLs are too long, they appear ugly and hence this preview makes the link look more beautiful.
3. Embedded post for some handful of publishers
Just like Twitter, Facebook has started embedded posts for some handful of publishers on Facebook. If your post or status is set on public visibility, you can embedded it anywhere on your website or blog. 4. Updated look for Facebook users
Are you still using the old Facebook look? Well its time to update to its new, elegant and more user friendly view. This new look have your pages, messages, news feeds, groups, lists and all other things on the left side of your Facebook profile. See the pictures below.
